We got a call from probably the biggest furniture retailers in our area. They had a raccoon in one of their stores. My wife

didn't want to send me ( she's afraid I'll run off with some cute sales clerk ) but nobody else wanted to go. I have to admit

that I wasn't all that excited about trying to locate one little raccoon in a huge furniture store at 10:00 P.M. Much to my

surprise they still had four people waiting for me when I got there. ( The store closed at 9:00. ) So I asked the guy if they

knew where the raccoon was. He said, sure, it's practically sitting in the front window. And he was right. The raccoon was

staring at himself in this mirror. They had a garden display in that corner and all I had to do was move a couple of display

bags of fertilizer so I could squeeze my 9x9x26 Tomahawk in behind him, tap him on the nose with my flashlight and watch him

swing around and jump into the cage. Two minutes, max. The sales clerks were all excited and asked if they could take pictures

and I said, "Sure, does my hair look alright?" "No not you, the raccoon." Oh well, you win some, you lose some.

I love it when this stuff happens to me! Arrive on site, 2 mins. job is done, and I'm walking away with more in my pocket then I make sitting in my cubicle for 4hrs during my full-time job. Now I know how doctors, politicians, and celebrities feel.

Sunset at one of our cabins 130 in the morning, taken off of the deck. Doesn't get much darker than this, this time of year. Sun comes back up around 430/500 am.

Malukchuk that's awesome! Hate to be there in the winter, however. Keep on snapping photo's! What do y'all catch? Grayling, char,....????

Wifey made me go to Kohl's, Home Depot, Sear's and I did a quick trip into Gander Mountain, for good behavior....
Then over the inlaws for pie and pick up my log splitter.

Sunday morning was groundhog exclusion, which I again under estimated.

The pic of the water there is a slough near the cabin not much fish in there this time of year. I was fishing for salmon on a different river near by. I had some more pictures on a older phone but lost em.

Travis, we need to hear from you more often. Especially me! It's like you're telling the story of my life 30 years ago.
