Okay, I know that there are probably ten times as many fur trappers on Trapperman than there are ADC. Personally, I think this is a good thing.

What bothers me is that there are almost always at least 10 people on Trapperman ADC and they never say squat.

Are these people HSUS, PETA, or even worse yet, your competitors? Am I being paranoid?

I know for a fact owners of other companies monitor the forum and have never registered. It is one area where I agree with nwcoa's closed forum.

I am probably one of those 11 a lot of the time. I am very new to trapping, as in just starting, and I am on the forums reading and trying to learn, so I don't have a lot to contribute. Because of that I don't often actually sign in to view the forums because I know I have nothing to add. I do enjoy reading all the forums, though.

You know me well enough to know, "When I got something to say, I'll say it". But I often (well I should say as often as I can), scan over posts and read the ones I find interesting. I don't always reply or comment unless I think I have something worthwhile to contribute. I think most people are like that.

Often times, the reply, or advice, I would give has already been presented by another.

I wouldn't worry too much about lurkers though. They will always be there monitoring. I am sure there are some on here that monitor the other side of the fence as well!

You may be making it easy for new competition to start by giving away all the free info....but our duly elected gov is making is harder. Maybe it is a wash???

Those 10 people at a time....probably means 500+/day.

Steve B and Dirk, your replies are kind of what I was hoping for. Since I'm one of those guys that can't keep his mouth shut, I was hoping that my wife was right; I'm in the minority. (So I guess that means you'll be getting more of me) Sorry, I can't help myself.

Why don't you ask how many different IP addresses visit (not login) the site in a month? The number is available...

Paul, I like to visit this site from time to time just to see what you ADC guys are talking about. I've always been interested in ADC work but don't post an opinion on any subject here because I don't do it for a living like all you fellows do. I just read and try to learn something.

I guess I'm one of the 11, most of the time I am working 7 days a week, not to many posts on Hogs and Gators, I don't do bats, moles, voles, or limb rats I refer callers to the guys that do these in my area, doing everything else, plus dead animal removal.

I may be one of those 11 also. I check out the ADC page at least once probably everyday. I am mainly a fur trapper; but I do some ADC work through the off season.

Well if the competition is reading and ingesting all the great info, that'll make them better at their job and in turn keep the nuisance control business in good standings.

I would hope they would, in time, contribute to help us too.

I am another silent one, I am new to the board and reading up on a lot of the older posts learning what I can. A lot of great info on here!

I dont post much and never on adc. Not any of your compatition i just enjoy some of your stories on here. Some are very comical on here. One of the first that sticks out it some one (maybe paul) fighting coons in a dumpster.ever sense reading that i stop in and see what you guys are up to. So thank you for posting your day to day stories.

I don't reaaly say much, but I often sign on and read the posts. Especially the posts by Winkleman and Vink. Like was said before, just soaking up information, and it's more interesting from you 2 guys than from most.
I have been in the business for a few years (as a side thing), but always looking for new tricks.

Not much to say some times. Same old every day ADC stuff.

I did remove a bat that had 2 babies with it the other day. It was called in by PD as a sick bat.
It was trying to protect the little ones. That is a first for me!

Last week i removed a loon from a closed off fire place that had fallen down the chimney. That was another first for me
