make sure its really good paint, because the paint might get all gooey and fall of if it gets hot

I'm not sure how that would work but I would like to hear how it goes if you try it.

Plenty of guy's spray paint land traps. Just let dry well, no wax needed. No need to get cute with camo patterns as the trap is gonna be burried.

I just did a couple coon cuffs tops with spray paint. I boiled them first then spray painted a pattern on top. I stuck them in the stove on 150 degrees for an hour to bake the paint a bit (since I was a bit impatient and I was bored because it was dropping freezing rain). Boiled them again then waxed them. Seemed to work well.
