Hello everyone, I found these in the middle of a corn field last week and i'm not quite sure what they are. There was nothing else around, just corn stuble. Thanks.

So to my understanding, it is a tree that produces the fruit? And from these seeds can I start the tree?

pawpaw is also called the poor mans banana whyskers. in the late summer they produce a fruit that tastes like a banana custard. as mentioned the bark has a marketable value

Kris, do you know approximately how long it takes for the tree to produce the fruit?? I'm sure it takes a few years. But I do have good news on them. Two of them seeds have begun to "sprout" should I say, i'll get some pics posted here later. Once again thank you for all your help!!
