Gentlemen; My understanding is that we have very few morels in Maine. But I usually keep an eye out and have yet to find any. Would there be other plants in bloom at the same time as morels are starting to show? Right now we have blood root in bloom. Are morels showing about that same time or later. Lilacs or apple trees in bloom or something else you associate with morels?
