Hello All,

I am trapping that Kettle pond I mentioned in an earlier post.
The pond is iced out and the beavers seem to be focusing on eating just trees with lichen on them. Has anyone else ever noticed this?

Thanks

Thank the Lord that Coondog6 is already familiar with Trapperman ADC. I have had so darn much fun in this business ( And have met people that I would never have met under almost any other circumstances ) that guys like me and David and others are trying to share with some of you comparatively new guys, the fun and enjoyment of our industry.

This has been the second best thing to happen to me ( Just in case the Mrs. might catch this post ) but if there is a question that I can answer, that has not already been answered on this forum, please PM me. I'm usually pretty quick with a reply. ( And if you're going to ask me about moles, armadillos, rattlesnakes, wild pigs, prairie dogs, gay liberals, or anything else not usually found in my area, I will have to refer you )

Don't really know lichen but our redneck beaver do have seasonal preferences. Here in a couple months they'll get a hankering for pine sap. The month of June sees a ton of yellow pine going down. Privet gets them through the winter and sweet gum and maples in the spring. Late summer I see them chewing on tulip poplar.
