Need some help folks, trying to trap a grey squirrel that's taken up residence in a large retail store and has become real bold and is feeding on the cookies and Easter chocolates out in the retail area. I started out with squirrel size Safe Guard traps baited with peanuts and commercial bait on known travel routes with no luck then switched to another known travel location in a suspended ceiling closer to the food source and went with a larger trap baited with some of the food product also and still no luck. Any tips to help solve this dilemma would be greatly appreciated.

my suggestion would be more traps

two toughest squirrel jobs I have done were at a peanut butter factory and a candy factory

LOL, Gotta love those tree rats!
I would try going in right at closing and setting the traps right where the food source is, and using what it is for bait. You will of course have to go in right at opening time to pull traps so as not to freek out the customers.
Might consider removing all the stock at that point to replace in the am.

It is always the first squirrel that is the hardest for me to catch. That being said, could you use another trapped squirrel to get it to work around your traps? I know it's outside the box but it could work if your laws would allow.

Agree, first is most difficult. Usually a female for me that is so difficult.

pops, my first question would be: "Tsarevna, do you have a falcon?"

Nice to hear from you again, Tsar!
