There were some older ones of the same thing on a log nearby when I tapped with toe of my boot was like a puffball? Thanks for any help!

mushrooms are tough with the best pictures as so many look alike and the only differences are spore prints that pic is a little blurry which makes it that much more difficult. looks like some form of puffball from what i can tell. did they have stems edible puffballs have no stem or gills when cut open and are white throughout

I agree it's very blurry yea they had stems if I'm out again ill clean the camera off first lol wasn't until I got home and was posting that I realized they were so blurry

From the description and blurry photo I would venture a guess that they are either Pear-shaped Puffballs (Lycoperdon pyriforme) or Gem-studded Puffballs (Lycoperdon perlatum), but I wouldn't eat them without a more positive identification.
