brandon170 OP trapper B Joined: May 2010 Posts: 126 INDIANA	I have never dug it before but sure I prolly have walked thru it. Any certain trees to look around or certain hillsides. Top of ridges or bottoms?

don Wolf trapper Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 7,628 evansville Indiana age72	You find bloodroot in hill country, not river bottoms. It don't like to grow anyplace water stands for any length of time . Won't be long now and most blooproot in my part of the state will be dead. It is hanging on longer this year than normal , because of the wet weather.

Larger trees equal shade and lots of dropping leaves in the fall...they like the soil very light and not packed which the decomposing leaves gives them. Don is right though they will be gone before too long so get to it....good luck my redneck cancels out my blue collar #countryboycansurvive
