I was wondering if anyone else was finding an abundance of chanterelles.. here in ky we have had good amounts of rainfall and while out digging some yellow root i have been noticing quite alot of them... delicious...

You can count the number of seeds in an orange but you cant count the number of oranges in a seed..

I found a bunch of these today. There had to have been over a hundred in a small area. I just need to check them out and make sure they are the real deal.

don't worry over the smart ones. catch the dumb ones, they pay the same.

i can do it because i dont know that i cant.

looks to be the real deal to me but im not an expert... you can check morelmushroomhunting.com and post a question for chris matherly... he is the president and a friend of mine.. he will be able to tell you if there is a way to check the spore print to verify... actually im pretty sure they are but it is better to be safe...

My wife and I found hundreds today that were to far gone to be any good. I was within fifty yards of the biggest patch on Monday morning when I was looking for some but stopped on the bench just above them. Is there any chance there may be another flush of them this year, or do all of them come up at about the same time each year?
I hate to think I wont get to enjoy any this year.
