Mn Trappr, I may have a free version and a premium version. I'm working on it today as a web application, building the database. Having a good time here. This sure beats building food truck apps and stuff like that. lol. A sincere thanks to all the input so far.

I wouldn't mind paying 5-10$ if the app has everything described. I think everyone is right on track with what the app needs.

How about including along with a *catch* button a option or button for sets that were worked or a *miss* button and notes can be made. Also adding multiple traps to a specific location. The ability to move a set to a different location. How about the ability to preload your favorite sets, bait, lure ect. then when on location you could select the preloaded info and make changes if needed. Some great input here.

Count me in for iOS version. Take some of the features from the PC software "Trapline Journal". I'd also like a place to log fur and carcass sales. That might be a second trapping app project. smile

A feature where you can sum up catches and trap nights would make filling out end of year trapper surveys a lot easier. Just look at the surveys the various DNRs send out for what data they want. They're pretty consistent across states.

Shoot for the stars and add in microprocessors and radio communications that alert you once the trap has been disturbed so you know immediately when you have a catch (or at least some kind of a hit).

Add a place for Trap on a drag or if is steaked.
I keep forgetting if I used a drag or a steak.

In addition to marking set locations, number and type of sets would be useful. And some way to download it to a computer for a historical record of what you caught where to help in planning the next season.

It would be nice if there was mapping that you could map out your route, and then it will save the route so when you dont have wifi or service it will have that picture saved, and then you could mark sets, mark lines, future sets etc.

How deep do you have to bury those steaks for it to hold a yote? Do you prefer Tbones, ribeyes or sirloins?

I like the idea. Now how about a contest on TMan to name it and receive on free app??? TrapApp, TrapLogic, TrapTastic, FurMinator, FurFinder,

One thing I did think of is have it where it could be shared (at your discretion) with another user. For example, if I'm called out of town my son can check my traps for me if he can access this - or maybe at least I could print out locations for him to check.
Be sure to have it where you can have multiple "traplines" for various property owners/locations.
