Today I thought I saw what seemed to be a huge coon dead along side of road and went to look at it. It was bloated up to the size of a beach ball and smelled terrible!

Thanks, Boostin! Wasn't trying to show off my catch, just that that's about the only pic of my car I have on line. That's most of my fox from 2 seasons ago, had sold 6 to a member in here and disposed of a couple of mangy ones.

Back to the OT, roadkill's cool, just don't eat it.

pick em up if its legal. No sense leaving money sit on the road to rot.Just make sure they aren't torn up where they shouldn't have big holes. Most coon I see are in good shape, fox tend to get ripped apart easy.Saw a nice mink on the road today.Wish it was season.Hated driving past a future $20 bill

I scared a blanket beaver out of the smallest beaver pond I have ever seen. It went to the road got ran over and another trapper picked it up. not right.

In Minny-soda, it is Illegal to pick up ANY roadkill,
(because it was not taken in a lawful manner)

Make sense to anybody else ?

Yea, my friend who works for MNDOT made me aware of it, I had not read it anywhere in regulations before either,

Last fall there was a LARGE skunk just down the road from my house, with an over-sized white stripe
sitting dead on the center-line, since I didnt want to risk my license, I called the local CO to ask him
if since it was an un-protected species in MN , If I could pick it up since people were swerving to avoid it.

I didnt get ahold of the first CO,so I left him a voice mail, and called another nearby our area,, also got voicemail,,
SOOOOoooooo 1st CO calls me back, says NO ! cant do it/not lawfully taken,,,
2nd CO calls me back 10-min later and says YES,, Go ahead, but dont get hit by traffic doing it..

By the time I got that call SOMEONE that lives near me,had already snagged it,,,, mad
