Some people say wood only and others use wire only for coon and muskrat. I use wood for mink but all wire for coon and rats. Is there any other critters where wood is better then wire? I always sold local and only thing my buyer wont take is mink on wire, he wants wood but everything else he said he doesn't care. So will using wood vs wire make a difference on top lot?

In my opinion, fox, coyotes, cats, marten, fisher should always be done on wood.

Rats, coon, skunk, possum - I would do those on wire. But some people like coon better on wood.

thanks wissmiss, my mink,fox and coyote go on boards and all my rats and coon go on wire. Just wondering because I'm going to bite the bullet and sell all furs at auction this year.
