I have been learning a lot thanks to you guys.I have gathered all my old traps none of them are good or strong for coyote and bobcats .So I need some advice on the best trap [2 doz.]to buy for yotes cats and fox.what size ,brand ,jaws and mod. I should make on them .I thank you for sharing your opinion ,I need to order soon.

Well I've learned that trapping is just like anything else you get what you pay for...saying that I use MB550. Not the cheapest but one of the best....

im a new trapper as well .this is my third year trapping. im not good at working on traps,i have a few of ever kind and the mb 550 is my favorite.. all you have to do to the mb is clean,die,wax then set it.. dont go the cheapest way . spend the extra money to get a good trap you will be glad you did

First,read your state regulations for the size of the trap jaw spread allowed for traps set on land,then go from there.You will not be disappointed in the MB line of traps,they will last a lifetime,though other brands will give good service,as well.Good luck.

duke #3s and a dozen #2s for the fox. only mod is file the dog to what kind u want like night latching. and maybe a base plate if u want to. stock will hold yotes and fox.

I like the look of th MB550 would you say it's between a no.2 and no.3?
The badger no.3 coil might be to much for fox what are your thoughts?
I would like to hear your thoughts on best jaws,please.

i use a few different brands but i use mostly duke #2 offset with no problem. they come baseplated and only cost $95 for a dozen

the mb 550 has a outside jaw spread of 5 1/2 in..the bridger #3 is a bit much for fox.. mb 550 has a off set that gental on the animals foot too
