Brian that is totally awesome. What a worthwhile effort. And looks fun too!. What % would you say will not climb to the beaver?

We caught two wolverines on film that wouldn't commit and DNA samples from five individuals. That's in about 6 miles of creek. Glad you liked it Len

So I am assuming 7 individuals? That is a pretty good population in a 6 mile stretch. Were you able to determine a rough breakdown of sex and age?

My trap line Len and samples are out for DNA. We suspect inter-related but are waiting for results. Densities seem to be up in Alberta

That is fantastic! That's the kind of thing I would like to do in the future. I had no idea they were so acrobatic, it's really neat to watch them climb and jump around. This is great footage, well done.

They climb like monkeys. i never realized how aboreal they were until watching the video. No wonder they can weasel their way into cabins.

Brian you have been holding out on us. You usually share all your secrets. This no slip wolverine proof attachment looks like one for a trapping manual for sure. laugh

Nothing lie # 9 wire. If you were a real trapper Len you could tell me how many beaver had been hung by the amount of wire balled up! It ain't pretty for sure but seemed to confound those gulos.

Yukon Roger and crew down in first week of Sept. taking them day riding out of lodge and maybe out for an elk bow hunt if he's into it. Get to hear some elk screaming is always fun.
