i need ideas for items to give kids at il.50th conv.
i have a small grub stakes package,a wet land trap kit,dry land kit, for free raffle items, about 60 lures/baits to give out throught out the daysome 1lbs wax.ribbon tape,.just need ideas. small thing i can pass out to the kids that stop by the youth area. would tail zippers& tail stripers be good,or maybe some stretchers. I HAVE LITTLE TOYS AND COLORING BOOKS FOR THE YOUNGENS THAT PLAY THE GAMES . JUST THINKING OF OTHER THINGS TO HAND OUT DURING THE DAY. ANY IDEAS WOULD BE GREAT. THANKS REX

Well I am a kid and what i would want is trapping books or videos.

i have ordered some books and videos to give out to the older youths,beginner trapping, fur handling, traping the midwest,ect. i have some misc. traps il give out also 450,220,160,#2,#1.5. i think il order some cable stakes, thanks for ideas. and what is left over from what i have for youth camp

You could give them a snare a piece, that'd be something worth using, a snare is all you need to catc and animal. With a leg trap you'd need, bait, the trap it's self, a shovel, a anchor or drag, and ocasionally extra chain. A simple rabbit snare or coon snare would be great.

Pina, he is talking about Illinois. All snares have to be at least 1/2 of the loop in the water. At the rate this lack of rain is going, there is not going to be any water.

I think keith winklers "I want to be a trapper" coloring books are a neat idea to give to the younger kids.
