Small piece of soured beaver meat, (used more for scent kinda like a lure rather than as
a bait). You could use a piece of soured hide with stomach contents and stomach lining
from a red deer (or what ever they eat there) rolled up inside it, makes a good bait.

I know that some in Russia that trap wolves use moose & deer livers for bait.

Ate,have you caught some wolves using pig fat and what type of sets are you using? Are you trapping in Freezing conditions or summer conditions?
