Tim, I was wondering about the pan tension on these.. I am not familiar with pinch pans.. Do the pans fall under its own weight (for say water trapping), or are they 1-2 lbs (for say land trapping), Or are they adjustable?? Thanks in advance they are 100% adjustable, will fall under their "own weight" of the jaw pressure tension exhrted and the pans are bigger surface area than #1.5 Duke coils. So if stock Duke pans are big enough, the Bridgers are bigger yet. All I do to adjust is bend dog frame until pan sits slightly higher than jaws level... maybe 1/8th of an inch to 1/4 inch max. That's it, all the tuning they need for water lines from the box. I think the old style was/are best foothold trap for muskrats available to purchase new for a lot of reasons stated in prior threads. The new model looks equal or better. unless they moved the levers out that pan is not as big as a duke unless im missing something or seeing it wrong. a sommerville aftermarket pan will fill the width between the lever pivot points, and as you can see in the first pic there is plenty of room.

Which is better for the money, Taiwan,Korea, or U.S.A. If they were made at home I would consider them.

yes wissmiss, your right!
have a couple hundred dougle longspring traps (old vics)without a pan tension bolt and nut,it causes problems with non targets--does the little, expertly welded bump on this bridger dog act as the "tensioner"? these non tension traps do have thier place on the line, but its an inconvience otherwise.
these look like really nice traps though, rounded jaws, thicker a little bit, levers come up high, nice swivel setup
when a coyote comes along-are we going to have to put a drop of weld on the jaws to prevent jaw popouts

Bridger traps may be made in Taiwan, but MTP is an American company 100 %.
I'm thinking that if Bridger traps were made in the USA, they would be quite a bit more expensive.
If you limited your purchases to items "made at home" you are passing up any number of good products.

Wissmiss, that is true and by no means is all my "stuff" made in USA. Just bringing up a point that someone else undoubtably will. As I have sean this happen in many threads.

I want to order some... looks like these new Bridger 1.5s will be a favourite over the Duke 1.5s easy there tiger, you dont even know what price point they are at and you already put them to the top of the pedastal. Heck, everyone knows the mb450 is the best 1.5 sized trap made, get yourself 50-60 doz of them and hit it hard!
