Caught my first dingo in a coil spring trap on Wednesday,it was taken in a 'Jake',and weighed 14.53KG.
it was a mature male, and had been seen by a manager on cattle property next door,I had seen it hanging around
rocks near my home,so put a flat set in not far from my house-you can see it in one image here.

Went to check, and thought well no dog in this trap, until I got up very close, you can see how he blends in to
surrounds,After I scalped him ($100 bounty for me),I put the carcass on a large granite boulder, for the Wedge
Tailed Eagles to feed on (first class eagle food is dingos),I put the trail cam on a near by tree.here are the
results,The wing span of the wedge tailed eagle is the largest wing span of all eagles in world approx 8 ft (2.4 metres)

Also a photo of the male, taken with a 400 mm lens, the female is larger, and hops on to rock half way through clip.

Thanks for looking.

They are mainly taken for the bounty, which can vary from nothing to $200. Then there are syndicates which are a group of property owners who pool their money and can pay up to $500 per dog. In some cases, very rare, when there is a dog causing a heap of damage that the bounty can reach $1000, I have only heard of one instance of this.

Wow - If only the hunters would get together and pay us for the coyotes that we take. Lets see last years take 82X$200 = $16,400. We can only dream.

Do you have trappers doing Animal Damage Control (ADC trappers) work there as a profession?

Question, if you don't mind- what are "scrub turkeys"?

Thanks! I would love to try trapping something new. Too bad the dingo had to take the place of the tasmanian wolf.

IMO, these would be similar to a German Shepard hide . These are just dogs with a very short pelt.
