I just bought some new KBs and i was trying to adjust pan tension and i noticed that there seems to be travel in the pan before it fires.I would like them to fire crisply. Anyone have some suggestions?? I have never ajusted dogless traps before. Thanks

I grind a little off of the back of the pan. I use an angle grinder with a sanding disk, be careful not to take too much off. Take little and test the trap. With an angle grinder you don't even have to remove the pan.

Thanks paloduro. I dont have a grinder so i ended up just taking the pan off. I just used a file. I have them firing pretty crisply now. Thanks for you input.

TravC i did do a little of that on a few but was nervous about taking to much off. Figured pan was cheaper to replace if i screwed it up.. Thanks for input though.

I have no problem with the pan creep because the pan is below the jaws.

An easy way to take the creep out is to start your pan going down with your finger with the loose jaw up.

Filing the pan can get touchy.
