Hey guys,

This may be a dumb question (looked in the archives and didn't find an answer) but what size music wire springs would i buy to replace the springs on my 1.65 and #2 bridgers?

Used the traps for a couple years and now and they need stronger springs.

thanks for your time.

Replacement springs are sized by the trap size.

On you tube i seen a guy who done a trap mod video that suggested no3 music wire springs on #2 brigers. He said he likes those opposed to four coiling as far as foot damage goes.

I agree #3 music wire for the #2's . Don't know about the 1.65's #2 springs should be good enough.

I put some #2 music on my old 1 3/4 Northwoods WOW!!!! Now they are hard to set, but when they fire they aren't letting go. Now I worry about catching a coon in them when I'm Coyote trapping. I may laminate them. Afraid of breaking a coons leg and having a wring off. Although neither of ther 2 coon caught in them last year had that problem.
Put #3 music on my #2's as well very strong now!!!!!

After a year or two of use, all my 1.5's get the #2 music wire springs. Back and ready for action. For the 1.65's I'd use the #2 music wire springs, and for the #2's add #3 music wire springs.

Excellent, thanks guys.

I kinda figured they were sized by trap size, but I thought I had heard of #3 springs on #2s and so on. There are always tricks to any trade. Now I know what to order.

Really appreciate the help!
