To you fellow trappers that use muskrat as bait. Do you let it taint or use it fresh. Do you add anything to it or use it as is. Do any of you use deer as bait? If so do you let it taint or fresh and what do you add to it.Thanks for any input.

Fresh rat for mink.
Tainted (also deer & moose scraps) for fox, coyote, cat, fisher, & marten.

As stated above,fresh or tainted muskrat for K9s. And please check the PA. State regs,on the use of Game Meat as bait. Most states,that I'm aware of,do not allow it.
