I was on the Doyon website looking at their ownership maps and saw 12B lands and have also seen 12C on other maps. Anybody know what that means?

Probably "NO TRESPASSING".

It may refer to a particular kind of easement.

However, the only easement I am familiar with is referred to as a "17B." That is in reference to Section 17(b) of ANCSA. It allows for ACCESS, but you can't do anything other than travel through on the easement. E.g., you cannot hunt or trap while traversing Native land via a 17(b) easement

I also wondered about that as many "winter trails" on maps cross through Doyon land.

Thanks, Tom

And some, not all, of those trails may have 17(b) easements on them!
