With all of our talk on lures and testing, i ran a little test in town, where someone said they saw some foxes.
Here is what i got. Its a video you can click it to see it, i think.

Lure is Old Grey Buzzard. smeared a little on the tree and the stick behind the bark on the tree.

Old Grey Buzzard is a dobbins fox gland lure.
Its one of my favs, i have caught several with it and several yotes also.
Its kinda neet to see them rubbing it on their necks and face.
The small stick that is in the bark of the tree, was knocked down at some point. Then they started rubbing the ground.

I'll be getting a bottle in my next order. Can't argue with that. Is it a Gray gland, red gland, or a blend?

You'll have to ask paul about that. I don't see it advertised in a lot of catalogs.

Actually, Buzzard is the one who convinced me to put it on the market, and that's where the name, Old Grey Buzzard came from. He's the one who concocted it from two of my lures. It is a blend of Purrrfect and RdFx. He hammered the greys on Purrrfect, but it would become less effective in Feb, so he experimented by putting some RdFx in with the Purrrfect, and he started hammering them again. So, yes it is a gland lure, but its a bobcat/red fox gland lure blend.

He walks almost all over the pan, then you can see him scratch at it a little.

well this is my pee post with coyote nature call on it, and a little fox pee. I should have placed the trap closer to the post. you can see him sniff then dig at the pan in the middle of the video.

heres the tree this morning. set were worked pretty well.
both traps were set off.

video on the trap getting set off was the first video of the night, all the LED's didnt work i guess. All you can see is the fox jump.

no video of this trap going off. Video of them digging at it and stepping all around it. Then an hour later the pee post video the trap is set off.

Certainly seems to be a more cautious reaction once the traps are in place, not entirely turned off but as if they knew exactly where the traps were. Great stuff!!
