I think they got back here in mid April. Exactly what is it they are doing up high flying in big circles and making their WO WO Wo ing.Some 30 years ago while duck hunting I bagged a dozen of them with some trap loads that I had on hand for bagging cripples. Those little fellows are delicious to eat.Sure don't see many setting.

If your talking the wo,wo,wo, birds. I don't what there doing, but it is their wings that make that noise on a steep dive. Well that's been my observation.

Yes Dirt it is the wings I think,they seem to being doing huge cart wheels in the sky.They have the long slender beak they use to probe the mud for their food.
