Is it a good muskrat trap? Was test firing it in back yard and didnt seem to have very strong springs.

You don't need much to hold a rat, but I think there are a lot better choices out there. #1.5 coil spring or a guard or stoploss; I think make a much better trap some will argue 1.5 longs. I ran 1.5 Duke coils last year I think I will throw in some stoploss and 1.5 longs this year, to see what I think.

If you get a super deal on them, they will work, but you will have much better results with a 1.5 or 2. If you use the #1s, put an extra swivel close to the trap and you will have fewer wringouts.
