Is that area a Registered Trapline or open trapping ground ? If open ground what if someone else decides to trap there also ?

Trapper Ron - it's OA.
And i'm not worried about anyone trapping there. People don't skidoo out that way much in winter. Too rough of country and there aren't many trapper's around here anyways.
I can name 4 in the entire area off hand.

Yes, as soon as I know the fur should be prime i'll set traps. Got a good running quad now so I don't have to wait for snow!

Dead and Deader unfortunately.
Was gone all weekend and came home and the neighbor said they had passed.
What can you do I guess... real shame though.

The otter are around. You don't normally see sign of them until you catch them.
Or maybe i'm just not looking for the right stuff?

you should try using colony traps in those trails and den entrances, you can get multiple catches when they're moving good like that!

Had hoped you didn't notice.
Sorry gotta make it look like we had a beaver problem here! Guess the secrets out!

If only that were the case... The only beaver you've seen the same picture of numerous times in the same trap is the one in my signature! wink

they're real easy to make too! and cheap, made 8 for about 20$ just get a roll of 1x1 wire at the length of your choice, a ten foot roll makes 4 plus some spare parts for the future, some J clips, and you can use a pliers to bend them. If you want more info on how to make them pm me! I can also send you a picture of one if you want.

Ya we know that. Hint Hint wink

That is why Boco and I commented on it.
You have a lot of very good photos and video in your thread.

But seeing that same beaver photo does nothing but distract from good thread it is. Just my opinion.

Yep got my info from NAFA. Didn't do terrible.

Windstorm came through here, did nothing here but turned to a mini tornado further north.
