Sure enough 23 items to be exact. Under Trapping Supplies. Kirk if they carried your line their could easily double if not triple the items they carry.

Sure they'll be carrying supplies but I'm not going to buy from them. My business stays with F&T Post and MTP

Hang on awhile. I will bet that they will have plenty as this plays out. They are just getting their feet wet.

Since one is five minutes away, I'll support them and buy a few thing once in a while, main support goes to trapping supply buildings. At this moment, they seem to have a better selection and lower prices than Gander Mountain.
Just have to wait till the supplies comes to the store.

I'm a Cabela's fan for hunting related items but this is one time I'll have to take sides and stick with the little guy. The trapping supply dealers who have supported trapping though good times and bad such as Southeastern Outdoors, Dobbins, etc. I've been buying trapping supplies from Southeastern since I was 11, that's over 45 years.

Same here. I'll be continuing to buy from Minnesota Trapline Products! I could care less if Cabela's was even $5 bucks cheaper for everything. The service that I get from MTP is un-real, and they have ANYTHING a trapper needs. Cabelas is going to have to stick to the basic things like cage traps, and duke 1.5's.
Buy from your original Trapline supply store, and keep them in business. Cabela's has enough $$ the way it is.

I think it is great that Cabela's is handling trapping supplies. It is a great way to introduce new folks to trapping and to help those just getting into trapping look at what is available for equipment, etc. Wonderful public exposure.
And I understand you guys that buy from MTP (or F&T or any of the other supply houses) continuing to support them, rather than Cabela's. But believe it or not, there are folks out there interested in trapping that don't know about MTP and all the other supply companies. You might find that hard to believe but it's true. So they are in Cabela's just wandering around - which I understand is a common thing for outdoor people to do - and they find trapping supplies, which gets more folks interested in trapping.
Win-Win for everybody.

Very well stated, wissmiss. I have talked to non-trappers that have no idea even where to buy a trap. That may be why e-bay gets such stupid prices for a lot of traps that they sell. Whether you buy from them or not, Cabelas does have good exposure for their goods.
