Buy lots of sardines in oil drain the oil out into a sray bottle, put sardines in food grinder and grind into a pastey mush then put it in a big empty ketchup bottle. After you have made you're pocket set squirt you're sardine paste in the back of the pocket and spray you're sardine oil around the hole and in the creek, set you're foothold and presto!!! Fast pocketset ready for coon or mink!!!

Some folks like packing steel setter tools . I made several pairs of multi setters for conis or long springs out of aluminum flat stock. But make them 30" long...atleast....you wont regret it.usestainless nut bolt and washers and add lock tight or use a nylock. Cost me just under ten bucks...bought aluminum at welding supply...beats the hay.out of packing a heavy pair of steel setters. And won.t corrode rust. Cut notches same as a sleepy creek multi setter. Can engrave name or phone into aluminum so animals knows who lost it.

Interesting,, I never had a need for setters of that size.At least here in Delaware . Our laws limit body grip size. However before I retired. I worked with friends that lived close in Pennsylvania, and Maryland. And they tried making setters (330) from aluminum and were unsuccessful.
Could you elaborate on the size of the Aluminum flat stock you used?

Any of you drill holes at the bottom of your 5-gallon buckets so they can "drop" in the shallow water? smile

My new favorite walk down the hill and catch 'em all tool... wink

My coon feeder, teaches 'em to pull the trigger inside the pipe to feed themselves...these little buggers still come to do clean up duty though...

I hope to get a pic with a dozen coon in DP's around it this year in a 24 hour check, last year the best was six with a prototype...Anticipation!!! grin
