Ice classic was $350,000 this year. Nice, but not worth it either.... smile

Several years ago we had a McGrath resident win the Nenana Ice Pool. He won 70K dollars. Ten days later the Kusko ice went out and his house flooded, doing about 80K in damage. Karma.

Nice Pike Jeff!

Are you hiding the Nuge there after his illegal bear conviction?? Peavey speaker and an old school bow with teardrop cables.........

Water is opening up a little bit. Nabbed an OK beaver in a 330 dam crossover.

Saw a black bear today above town. They have been out for a week or two, but I haven't been out looking much. Might be an early year. Lots of goats. saw over 50 a couple days ago. Three different locations. All closed to hunting, of course.

Made it almost 3 years without censor!

Takotna- Still solid over this way. Still running down river to catch Fowl. Hopefully get more time out there while it lasts. Cold and windy here 17 degrees this morning. Some water on the sides but still can travel a few miles downriver to hunt. Hows it going on your Side of the Big River :-)

Ice is moving pretty well this morning around 0700. Looks like it could jam in that cutoff just below town though. Might have some fun yet !

Good posts guys. I was wondering what the river has been doing up there. I heard it moved in Napaimute also.

Not a lot of snow in the AK Range. Most south facing slopes are bare up to about 10,000 feet. Water here isn't super high so you guys downstream might not have too many problems

River has been out for two weeks here. Creeks just clearing of ice. Did a little "beaver" control with the kids this weekend. Going to do some more this coming weekend. No rats in the creek so that was surprising. Bear baits will be out this week and will have some on the ground before the 20th.
