These are Tundra's in the photos based on the yellow teardrop on the bill. The lead bird in the first photo is a immature and I thought the lead bird in the second photo was also even though the angle of the light makes him look almost as white as the adults. We've had several family groups swimming in front of the house and the young are the same size as the adults but are not as white as the adults. Earlier the gray color was more prominent. Have also watched the odd behavior that looked like the mating ritual they do when they first arrive in the spring. Maybe they are out of sync because of all the global warming.

Maybe just hooking up with a new mate. Seems that swans don't always mate for life and the lady swans can be a little 'loose' with their affections... Or Hup broke up a few 'marriages'...

I just shot the lady swans. There are going to be some fun times for those now single bachelors over-wintering in Mexico

Rats! Back into a cast for 4 more weeks. CT scan showed that the break still wasn't completely closed. On the bright side, it gives me another month to prep for my goat hunt. frown

Just like Coca cola... OK in small quantities but too much will make you sick... and good for cleaning battery terminals. grin

Coors light cures all ailments. Plus, less calories, for those who care. Season is approaching, so drink heartily!
