Ladies and Gents-
As you know I have a new responsibility with the ATA. And with such I'll be coming to the members of this website for their input. One of said tasks is updating the ATA website. I have a few ideas I want to add, but I want to hear what you guys wish was on there. Some of you are dillusional, and so some of the ideas won't make it to the new page, buuuuuut, I'd still like to hear all ideas.

Such as:
Contact # for ATA (that works)
Bio info/conact info for BOD (I'm thinking of leaving it to emails, as I know some of you'd call early in the a.m.)
members only side (with videos, or other misc items of good use...Open to ideas for this area)

Stuff like that... So, let the ideas flow.

blood, new perspective. I have no suggestions, but it's good
to see you are opening up the opportunity for people to do
that.

Is there 'room' for a photo page where members could have their pics posted? Maybe add a few current events shots of Fur Rondy, Sportshow booth, Fling, meeting demos, whatever?

Get permission of some of the better how to that has already been done on here and put it on the ATA. Or a set of links that bring them to specific archived material. That way Paul would see more traffic and ATA visitors would get a taste of some really good stuff!

I'll second that....and or use it in the updated manual and ata arctic trapping video! Waaaay to much good stuff to let get lost in the sands of time!

Any other input? I'm going to put together what I've come up with and submit it shortly so the webmaster can get started on it.

Well I went and looked.
I think the board member page could be changed to have the photos and bio on the first page. I found myself not wanting to click on the individual members. But when I did it was interesting. However it could all be put on the main directors page. At least a photo and as short bio.

The youtube video on the front page is, well it has to go. There is a lot better footage to put on the front page of the ATA than that in our prime space.

Wouldn't it be cool to place a tip of the week on the main page. Something to get people to come back for regularly. Could be easily taken from Tman and the poster given credit for it.
How about this idea.
We could make it part of tman. tip of the week. Sticky it on top of the wilderness forum (ATA Tip of the Week)-(Marten) or Lynx.
The thread stays active for a week and it copy and pasted into the ATA tips of the week from TMAN.
New week new ideas. Every month or every week change species or idea. Camp tips, snowmobile tips, Getting unstuck tips. Or how about Bravo Tips!
Or uses for a machete!!
I love thinking of new ideas like this.

I've thought it would be great if you could purchase and download directly the oral history segments you are interested in. Many people listen to MP3's/IPods anyway and this would save the ATA from having to ship the CD's.

Believe it or not at camp today I had that very thought. Well not really the webmaster but some cool ideas I would institute to get more traffic. Not wanting to work anyone out of a volunteer job but I was thinking of some great ideas for the ATA website. Matt helping on the website or taking it over if the previous person has had enough is something I would consider if there is a need.
