When you were at the top of the hill and looked north across Deep Creek.
You saw our little red roof..small world, nice clams, good walk.

How much to loan her out Jeff? I have tried clean skinning my otter and I can't get the hang of it.

Was some great stuff at the Fairbanks trapping seminar today.
All sessions were very informative and held something for everyone.

I was fascinated with Mark Johnson and his
Setting up Your Snow-Go - Mike Johnson

This guy is 71 and just a go getter. Runs a 800 skidoo swt and it is setup! He pulls three sleds. Quite an operation. I will ask permission to post some photos. Very fun.

Predator Calling – Rick Kinmon This guy knows his stuff about calling and produces. Everything from Fox,coyotes, lynx, wolverine and Wolves. Got some tips that should be fun if I ever find the time.

Dean Wilson was of course very informative and had a new snowmobile jack that was affordable and looked indispensable for larger snowmobiles.
Even Dave Bruss AKA Wolverinebait was, as always very informative.

Picked up some snare ideas from - Mark Schlenker with his session on Advanced Snare Sets. He is a 7/64 1/19 man on wolves and had some good setups to share.

My complements to your cook on the beautifully clean skinned otter there Jeff. Been a long time since I seen one clean skinned. A buddy of mine used to clean skin all his otter like that. Most otter now are rough skin and beam fleshed, or rough skin and reskin on the board.

I have cleaned skinned quite a few otter. But they were all skinned like a beaver in the day I was tanning them. Man I can't imagine clean skinning them cased. Nice job.

Would have loved to go the seminars, but I'm not gifted with FT's stamina and have to sleep a bit after getting off work at 7am. Hope they do the seminars next year, my schedule might change.

Rumors of my assimilation have been greatly exaggerated.

Yippee! up to +10 yesterday with sunshine. Two more days and the forecast says +25. Took this shot of the Goldeneyes yesterday. Should have more waterfowl shortly. Swans usually here by next week but don't know about this winter.

We are covered up with waterfowl here right now. I saw more Canadian geese yesterday than I have ever seen here before. By the time the subsistence season opens most of them will be long gone. We feed 'em U whack 'em! smile

Thanks APP, i appreciate it. I really enjoy Speckle Hunting. Gonna be a fun spring. Jus another month to wait. My favorite time of year to go play, super warm days geese are gliding in. Bang! Soup for the Pot. Can't beat that :-)
