That sucker has teeth! And the trap is mean lookin' too!! Hahaha. Haven't got my hands on any large sized longsprings. I did refer back to the coil vs. long debate and thought I'd like to try some for yotes and beavers.

Between bridger 5's, CDR's, and the TS-85, it almost isn't fair. Almost....

#14 jumps have teeth also but their blunt teeth that just keep the beavers foot from sliding.

Yep, that's a LPC trap, used for big cats in Africa and wolves.
I have these in several sizes, some without teeth, some with.
Yes, illegal to use traps with teeth in many states.

I prefer the #5 dls, but have a few 750's and a few #5 coils as well. #4 dls and coils are as small as I'll go on beaver traps. I also use a boat load of snares whenever I can.

TS-85, MB-750, #4 DLS, or #14 jumps. My favorite.

If the #14 jumps ever get outawed here in Maine I'd go with the TS-85's from what I have seen.

A good beaver trap is a trap thats meant for beaver and or that can handle their size. Its also how and where it is placed. Ive caulght many in a #3 dbl ls. yes front footed but it was caulght and have never had a ring out.
