With the arrival of spring , where do you guys start?
For me it will be Ramps and Fiddleheads I think.
Obviously any Morrels I can stumble upon.
What is the first mushrooms you find?

The first ones i find are pheasent backs them morels. I would love to get into a bunch of ramps. I got a lead on where to find a bunch.


don't worry over the smart ones. catch the dumb ones, they pay the same.

i can do it because i dont know that i cant.

Not sure of the legalities , but people have been known to transplant for home use.

How do you fix pheasent backs? I can find lots of them, but did not care for the taste.

I never cared for pheasent backs either. if you get the realy young ones they arnt to bad. I guess they are good if they are cooked for a long time.

I guess you can find sheep heads in the spring but I never have.
