I don't have many pics in the computer of my kids trapping,unfortunately they don't get to go along because of their age,my older girls like to go along fishing and hunting but don't seem as interested in the trapping yet.My boys are almost there though,hopefully this season coming up.

Oh yep I go to that sale every year as well , it's was nice when they started that sale , I also trap all them creeks to the south of otisville . If you noticed a lady there showing fish decoys there that's my mom she a decoy carver

What's a fish decoy people in the south might ask , it's for ice fishing , we place a small shed like thing on the ice , called a shanty or ice house , we then cut a hole in the ice like 2' wide and 4 ' long and then send the decoy down ,when a fish comes to take a look we then spear it if we wish to eat it , we spear pike , Muskie and perch here in Michigan , some times sturgeon , also done in MN ND . WI they only spear sturgeon , it's just like hunting and great fun , the Indians did this way back so it's Avery old way to fish here in the north but very fun ,

If they don't wish to trap that's fine don't push it and it's great they fish and hunt with you , I love to fish with my kids great fun, they catch them clean them and cook them , I just wait for the plate anymore
