fish, Muskrat, Beaver & lots of it. Whats funny I found a gallon jug of big daddys barbeque sauce on the river near a camp ground while trapping. Wow did it catch coon like crazy. I used the hole gallon that year on top of my pocket sets. It did not take long for me to use the gallon of sauce. Yes I beieve you can catch coon on just about any thing.

I like Reds prepaired bait its top notch. Coon like it to.

One bait I use & make fresh is ground fish & apple essence.
Hope this helps!

heres what i made up this year, it is a recipe from RK trapline products.
he sold me all the stuff to make it.
made like 2 gal. of it.
5-7 lb of ground ocean fish
2/3 gal. fish oil
4oz shellfish oil
1/3 gal mineral oil (for antifreeze)
2 cups pickling salt (for cure and will help antifreeze too)
mix w/ a drywall paddle and a 1/2" drill (make sure you use a 1/2" drill too, we burned up a 3/8" drill mixing this stuff. LOL
it works pretty good!
me and a buddy split the batch
my coon take so far is 67 and my buddy is somewhere in the 50's range using this stuff exclusively
mostly in pocket sets and now in 220 cubbys!
it is really loud smelling.
he says it will take mink too, but so far none for me though!
