Yeah, I love my skidoos (tundras) but you have to RIDE them, not sit down and go for a ride like you do on a Polaris or Cat. figured, the WT would be better but apparantly not

Lots of moose hunters out there Jim, they've all been from Wasilla, Palmer and south. They travel along way to shoot a moose. Met a couple real nice guys from Keni last week. Don't mind a guy filling his freezer, just hate them running up and down my line. These two were real respectful though. Thinking of grabbing a tag myself just to hurry up the close of the season. The Russians from Wasilla had quite a time on the Tanana last week. They left a trail of gear in the overflow and a polaris on the south side of the river. Didn't stop 5 more from coming back this week. Just something ya gotta work around I guess. I hear other guys are having more problems than I.

have you played with the clutch adjustments yet? This new design allows quite a few settings for different snow conditions. love your pics

We got lucky this year. It appears that the F&G moved the hunt zone futher south this year, but still hasn't kept a few from trying to get to it from our line. Big issue is there was a fire towards the end a couple of years ago and you just can't get any further south without cutting through all the trees down like pick-up sticks, so they are out of luck. I just wish they wouldn't run everthing over with no regard for even obvious snares in the trails. Can't wait until that hunt is over and done with.

The more that get shot the sooner the season is closed! My brother in law and two friends just came out of an area down there somewhere with 3 moose, so they helped one zone get closer to closing!

Beauty wolverine congrats. I was looking at new sleds today, those skandics sure do look like they can haul alot of gear. i think i'm leaning towards the tundra extreme, as I still want a sled that I could use to go riding with the boys.

Hey Steve, I sold the 03 WT the day I bought the Skidoo. Skidoo, that word is still hard to even say. I wanted the quiet and the fuel economy of the 4-stroke. Also I had to change jets regularly due to temp and altitude on my line and I got away with that. Went with the Skidoo instead of the Yamaha, due to weight and a few other things. The yamaha would have been a better choice for hill climbing with 130 hp vs 65 in the Scandic. Masek has beat these Scandics for years and done well. That's a good testament for Skidoo in my book. This thing is a beast on the line though, just not a lot of topend. I still have 2 Polaris WT's in the fleet. You should not ride a 4-stroke unless you willing to spend money, they pull like a tractor. Good luck and be safe.

My new trusty steed got me home this evening. She's more impressive everytime we go out. Getting more comfortable with her with every mile. I pulled double sleds and the trail groomer behind. It just augers along. I ran her in low range out and back. It's crazy. Enough with the Skidoo pitch, picked up 3 yotes, 5 marten, 2 ermine and 3 snow shoe hares ( in cat cubbies). I've got to be doin something wrong. Missed a beautiful ruffed grouse and a ptarmagin with my pistol, I think it may need glasses. Found the other shed of the moose from last week. Don't know how I missed it before. Didn't see much for fur sign. The wolves aren't coming around. Gonna have to get off the trail and go brush busting to find out where there hunting. Covered a bunch of country exploring and such. See bunches of moose and caribou. I'm suppose to be out trapping and I find myself sight seeing instead of working on the line. Does this happen to any of you all. I need to focus abit more on putting fur on the stretcher. Good luck to all. #1 yote

Have you studded that machine? I found great lug studs that I put in my expo sport, let me know if you want the link, only 200 miles on them so far, but they have made a huge difference.

Trail groomer???? You got cross country skiers out there now with the Russian Moose hunters?
