favorite beaver foothold is a #5 duke dbl they come with the paws y trip pan.

duke # 4 4coil and duke 280s why because they are all i have

I would prefer the DLS #5, if choosing Dukes. I have a few that I use. Very stout trap if rigged up right.

I don't like the idea of having a live beaver in a trap, too many predators can find them.

We have padded jaw restrictions for trapping under special permit..

No lamination? I had a lot of pullouts in my stock CDR's until I laminated them; then the pullouts stopped. I bet you could still wrap your inner tube rubber around them with no trouble.

I had pull outs in the MB's,,,,,, until I went with CDR's.........Don't know if the new ones are any good since Carl and the gang sold out? I don't do business with WCS,,,,,,,,

I have found the new CDR's to be even better. The springs are stronger; and, stay strong longer.

330,660,#4 duke 4 c but that what i have to use ,1/16 th 1x19 miro loc is my favrite to set up when poss.

I like 330's on floats, everything is flexible, however bulky. 330's are my favorite, then the TS-85 for jawspread, then the #5. The Bridger #5 ls is stout but I don't like the stock pan system, I have not tried the Duke #5 ls, yet. I like the #5 Bridger coil, seems stronger than any MB-750 I've set, but I'd take a 750 over the Bridger anyday.

Years ago I caught a bunch of beaver in #3 double longsprings until somebody told me they were't big enough, Ha!
If CDRs are stronger now than when Carl made em, I don't think I could set one...definitely super strong traps.
Bridger #3 coil, 4-coiled seems like an economical super stout trap with sufficient jawspread to me, and I can set em where theft might be a problem. It's hard for me to drive away from expensive traps or favorite collector type traps....
I can see the big jawspread advantage, but never thought beaver really required X-strong traps...

I have one extra large longsping but the nutes keep filling it up before the beaver can get to it.
It did not cost much but definitly works well on nutes. Maybe next season I can get a beaver to step in it.
Also I will have more like this next season.
