can any show me IN PICTURES steP by ste, easy to do coon sets

heres a quick and easy one for ya.

I used a #2 lsp. for this demo, any trap that will hold a coon will work.

step one, set trap and place in spot the set will be in.


Bait with your favorite bait


take an old rim from a car/truck/what ever and lay it over the trap and bait. make sure you center the pan of the trap in the hole of the rim.


the best part about this set is you don't need to staked the trap. a coon isn't going anywhere with the rim on his arm
Just make sure the trap wont go thru the hole in the rim

Only problem I see is a coon moving it while reaching for the bait. Might work better if trap is attached to something solid with a smear bait on the pan.

Try covering the pan with tin foil,they can't resist shiny objects.

thats the old spare off my old dakota, it never seen the road, but a couple of times for a very short period.

the white letters do add to the appeal of the set

I just thought of a problem!!! If it is a big coon it will pull out!!!

might be pretty well dogproof also.

if the hole in the rim is small enough, it wont pull the trap thru the hole.
