hey i was just wondering how many of you guy have been caught in a 110 conibear

Rat traps our the absolute worst. They always seem to know what thumb is the sore one and fire at the most improper time.

caught my belly in a 110(pinched it). and my right index finger in a 1.5 duke. other than that ive been pretty lucky. was with my dad when both happend.

the 160 was an rgb and i guess i didnt hurt as bad as i thought it would.

110, 220, every size foothold up to #3. Have to say, the worst was when I was leaning over to set a #1 coil, and it slipped out of my hands and caught my skin on my chest, that was bad. LOL hard to get off too!

I have been caught in #110s 11/2 cs and a #4 cs really kinda suck lol

ive got caught in a every sise of foot hold up to#2 and then i got it with a 1.65 4-coil..that hurt!

i got caut in a 110 on the tip of my thumb it was not the best feeling in the world lol

i got caught in a 110, 1 long, 1.75 coil, and a 280 duke. the 280 got my by the right wrist that was a pain to get off, and the 1.75 coil got my by the middle three fingers.

been caught in every size coni besides 280 and 330

the 280 was my worst. it was staked in with a 18 inch rebar stake so i had to pull it out with my left hand and walk back a mile and a half to the road with a 280 on my wrist so my dad could get it off. and i am right handed. for some reason i always get caught on my right hand too.

i didn get my hand caught in a coni but i had on thrown at me and caught my knee cap

no suprise to me i had my leg bent a little where when it snaped it just hit and did little sliding up and caught my flesh on my knee. for the next few days my whole leg was swollen and a sight for sore eyes

Caught my right hand in a 160 once. Boy was that smart. Never again. Lol.

I've been caught by my foot in a 220 while wearing waders. Had to drive 2 miles home on the 4wheeler to get my conibear setters to get it off. Not fun!

This year I watched my trapping partner get caught by a 220 across the fingers on one hand. That was funny!

Been caught by a lot of 1 1/2 coilsprings on the trapline.

couple years back my dad got a brand-new 220 belisle on his thumb. i was in the truck and i heard him start to scream and yell. scared me pretty bad. i havent got in anything worse the 110s and #1s tho

I've caught my hand 3 or 4 times in 160s plenty of 110s and a 1 3/4 coilspring isnt to nice on a thumb. Ive caught my foot in a 160 before it was a mile walk home and certaily not a fun one.

Some of you have learned a lesson--always bring your setters with you.I personally use a setting tongs,it goes with me all the time,as do a couple safety grippers.

snapped my pinky nail with a 110 this morning...still hurts its amazing that they put things down so fast !

I caught my left thumb in a 110 , I was trying to get my thumb out of the way but SNAP!

Just got to set a 110 the other day and it was about the third time I ever set one. I got it set and started to take my hand away and swap it was on my thumb.

Caught half my right hand. And I didn't say anything bad. It hurt like heck and could barley get
it off

Caught both thumbs in a 110 at the same time and one time this winter as I was setting a beslisle 330 one of the safetys came off and still not sure how it happened but I was caught in it with one of the springs, jaws closed on my hand.

Ouch!

thought I had a snare set in this location the water rose so I kicked around.did not work too well 330 was there,had to slide out of my chest waders setters were on the bank.

110's a couple times on the hand and stepped in a 114 newhouse. the newhouse didn't hurt to bad but i was glad there were two guys with me to get it off.

I don't think any 110 would be able to... honestly I think rat traps hurt worse than 110s.

My first year trapping I had no idea what a 110 was so I am sitting there trying to set one and I do something stupid and it snaps right on my hand it did not hurt very much it just numbed up my hand a bit so not realy a big deal just saw this post so I decided to post this.

There used to be a 110 brand that the dog flipped in to engage the trigger from UNDER the jaws rather than over (no idea what brand). On top of it, they were bought used and some had been waxed and not cleaned up well. I HATED those traps. But at the time we were long lining 'rats hard so any 110 was a "good" 110.

Got pinched an aweful lot in those darn things. They were so touchy that I got pretty "gunshy" setting 110s for a while that spring.

i just got caught in a #4 leghold trap yesterday but i was wearing thick leather gloves to find out how much it would hurt....IT STILL HURTS!

I was setting my 120 and both my thumbs got caught in the trap lol. I had to get my dad to get it off .

i got my hand stuck in a #11 duke

Especially every time you got to the end of the chain !

Don't feel too bad guys and gals...I do this for a living and have caught myself a few times in 4 coiled #3's this year...certainly let's you know you are alive!

110, 160, and 220. Working my way up to a 330!

been in a 220 twice and 120 once you think eventually i would wear leather gloves but not yet lol 1 1/2's don't even really bother me anymore either lol

ouch thats got to hurt!!!

How Does that even happen? There's ways to set traps so that if avoidable, like flipping up the loose jaw when setting the trigger mechanism.

I got my all my fingers caught in a 110 at the same time. Then a #1 cs on my index, then another on my ring, then another on my little finger. And I got my thumb stuck in a duke dp.

iv got caught in every size a sure enough i got out but the cold frozen 155 hurt the worst

Got caught in a 220 4 times in a row one night trying to get it set. I just gave up and went to bed. Not a good night for me!!

It feels nice to be in the 330 club

the only time ive got hurt dealin wit traps is wen i was settin a dogproof duke and and it slipped and the dog flipped up and hit my thumb...otherwise ive been realll lucky

only a 110,didnt even hurt haha (i had thick gloves on)
