I am a little surprised this thread has lasted a half of year on this site. they used to go away after a while. trapperman.com seems to have more space now to keep more threads longer than say they did 4-5 years ago

I use 12" deep throated welders vice grips to compress the jaws

I hope i am hearing you correctly. I have several victor double long spring no 3 traps that need new jaws and can't find them anywhere. If sleepy creek jaws will work than I might start drinking again. I run about 100 of the victors and it makes me sick to know that if a person breaks a jaw, than the trap is useless. Haven't dug these traps out in thirty years, but I have always loved my double long springs over coils. Hope I heard you correclty, because I will call F & T and order some sleepy Creek jaws.

The couple I do have adjusted are running around 2 1/2 to 3 lbs with a Sullivan tester.
