Dtwarrow.....It was a classic "Dave" type situation..If something is going to happen it will happen to me....Luckly I am a cat and land on my feet most of the time.....The last thing I wanted to do is yell for the Homeowner. He is one of "them" types. Act better then I...........I like them type people.....price ALLWAYS goes up to adjust for attitude problems.

Knocking on the attic door from inside... "Let me out" LOL... classic I have been there a few times. I make a point to carry my cell and have the homeowners number already in the phone. But for me it was not the attic door I was caught between rafters and unable to move.I hate Florida attics they are so small. Another time I got caught under a manufactured home. Glad to hear its not just me!

had a lady who thought she had squirrels in her attic, and she very well could have when I inspected the place. Wood peckers had their way with the south side of the home and had many holes in the house. Starlings were using the holes but she insisted that it was squirrels in the walls. I set traps in the attic and RBG over the holes (after the starlings were removed )to see what we were dealing with. Couple days later still hearing noises and have not captured on thing. Noticed a branch rubbing the drip edge above her room where she was hearing the noises. Problem went away and she was embarrassed over the branch problem, but was happy to have the woodpecker holes filled and deterrents add to the house.

I had a call from a client who had a runaway cat.She said a big male grey cat was marking arround the house and her cat was scared to come home.Impressed with the senario I agreed to try and get one or the other. While getting the paperwork signed and discussing the scope of the job with the woman, I asked where she had seen the big wild grey cat.She said nobody had actually seen it.Then went on to talk to me about a pet psychic who had told her what was going on.I went ahead and set up anyway. The next day I saw a large grey cat in the trap! I just kept saying NOT A MALE-NOT A MALE but yea, It was a male. That was 7-8 years ago and I still get a little wierded out about it.LOL

Then there was the snake job. Every one says its a big snake.(If they thought it was cuite they would keep it for a pet) So I kinda shrug off the BIG thing and go in looking for a snake. I rounded the corner and had a 12 ft. albino burmese python at my feet.Even I froze for a second to figure the best way to get it. She would have eaten my snake stick!

Got a call about a 4 ft., green , scaley, bug eyed monster, up on the roof of an elderly ladies house. It kept slashing it's tail and stickin' out it's tongue, hissing all the while. Got there and sure enough, someone's pet iguana had gotten loose.....and he was all those things she said he was!!!! Ha!

I had gotten a service call about 2 years ago from a 80 year old lady screaming into the phone that her house was being invaded. I tried to calm her down and I asked what was going on and she told me there was a alligator in her house and would I please hurry. When I got there this is what I saw, about a 6 inch Anole on the floor and she swore it was a gator in her home. She has turned into a great armadillo trapping customer about 2-3 times a year since.

It was so strong I got a head ache........A?C unit was close... ....... You would think that it would be "good" to put a applicator on top of a "professional" ADC trailing scent.....It would be more "Professional" ......"Looking".......... 1:04 I think I will go pick up a skunk.......

One of my guys called and said a client yelled from the back yard when he got to her house to come on back. When he did, there she was sun bathing totally nude by the pool. When I asked him what he did he said he pretended not to notice, set his traps and left.Turns out he moved here from Denmark and that sort of thing goes on alot there. But THATS professionalism!

Caught a lacktating female coon and told the customer to let me know when and where he hears the pups. Two days go by and I cant reach the guy because his phones been disconnected. I go to his house and the first thing he says is "You cant have your trap, I'm not done with it."
Turns out he has two pups in the trap and still more to collect in the attic. He says again, "Your not taking your trap. I spent five hours up in the attic last night crawling through three feet of insulation to get those things and there's still two left". He kept saying,"You have no idea what I went through to get those pups!". I said "Ya, I kinda do!"
So I said to the guy,"So, you want to use my trap and not pay me?". He says,"Yup!" And I say, "That aint how it works!". Then I dump the pups into his trap that is sitting right next to mine and head for the truck. I stop half way there, turn to face the guy and tell him, "You know, there's a much easier way to get those pups out of the attic.". Then I left him to ponder that little tidbit!!

I'm not one of you trap-for-hire guys but I find your forum very interesting. Here's something that happened to my dad. He was a game warden in California and got a call from someone who had seen 2 lions near his house. He told the guy that when you live in the woods, wild animals will occasionally come around and he wasn't going remove the lions. Over the next week or 2 the guy called back several times and was fearing for his family's safety. He said that every evening near dark they would come out into a field near his house so my dad decided to go out in the evening and see what was up. Sure enough about sundown he is standing there with the guy and 2 grey fox come out into the field and start playfully chasing each other, my dad asks if this is what he has been seeing and the guy says" yeah that's them, see, I'm not crazy". My dad tells him they are fox and the guy looks at them again and says that on second thought those aren't the same animals because he definately saw mountain lions. My dad laughed like heck and left. He later had to explain this to his Captain after the citizen complaint about unprofessionalism.

Its amazing how people have become so unattached to the natural world. The other day I had a lady try to convince me that opossums dont have tails. I said "of course they do" and she said "not in Chicago!"

I had a lady try to convince me there was a groundhog in her attic, and another that thought a beaver was under her garage... I have people call and say there is a raccoon in the trap today. I get there and its a grinner.

A lady called me a few years ago saying a rat was trapped in her extra room. She closed the door and stuffed a towel under it till I got there. When I arrived I found a dead rat, a bottle of chewable asprin with the bottom chewed off. The top of the bottle still had the plastic wrapper on it. That rat ate the entire bottle of asprin!

I just got back from dropping my second bat off in two days to get tested. It all stated yesterday morning around 5am. I got a call from a woman that she had just woke up to find a bat on her face. She knocked it off and ran from the room with her boyfriend following. She thought she saw 2 bats. They closed the door and put a towel along the bottom. I arrived and after 2 hours only one bat was found. I dropped the bat off to the state to be tested. They went to the ER to start there shots. I receive a call around midnight last night that a second bat is in the room. By the time I get the bat is nowhere to be found. After 1 1/2 hours and no luck locating the bat, I'm sitting on the bed and just thinking when I hear some scratching in the corner. After taking a closer look the noise is coming from the forced hot air vent. Now I can hear the bat crawling further into the duct work so I go down into the basement and now I can hear it moving to a different duct and moving toward a differnt part of the house. I then figure out which room the duct is connected to and go and remove the wall heating grate. About a couple minutes later while looking down into the duct hear comes the bat. I reach down and grab him. The best part about this job is that it's never boring.
