its actually Twavee, I got that from an old coon hunting buddy who was born with an exeptionally short tounge and has a hard time saying some words. He is the local fur buyer and we spend a lot of time over there in the winter hiding from our wives and pretending we are working. Thats what he calls me and it has stuck. I dont mind, I have sure been called worse and besides he is a good buddy and cant help it, but you should be around when he gets fired up and goes into a rant its worth the price of admission.

I went to one of my customers today to check traps as I pulled into the yard there is no parking space, normally one or less cars in the yard .... today 7 cars filled the yard, I am trapping norway rats and tree rats in killer traps on top and under the deck .... if there are any dead I need to pick them up, as I pull up behind a car and stop my wife whispers " is that a naked man over there in the woods" I looked but dismissed her comment as this cottage belonged to a prominent professor at a large collage. I always make a point to tend to "MIND MY BUSINESS" I dont look into windows or look at people in pools when I am busy I want to get in and get out quickly if posable, but if I get caught and invited to come over and meet someone I like to network when I can too its good for business, I jump out of my truck and head for the deck to retrieve the dead rodents ,,,,, as I near the deck I see bunch of ladies with high end cameras and there taking pictures of this older half bald guy with long hair Yes most were taking pictures from 2-4 feet away I grab two traps with rodents and make a dash for the truck, as I near the truck now I can see small groups of ladies each with a older naked man posing for pictures. Personally I have seen way more than ernugf for a lifetime... my wife was right she did see a naked man in the woods. and unfortunately I did too.

Here's one that made me think twice...

I had a past(mole job)customer who called me late, last October and asked if I would come out, as he really was having a problem with moles again.
I explained to him that although the weather was still good, we may soon be into freezing weather but that I would be happy to set up the job on the condition that if we did get a freeze, I would stop his contract and resume it when the weather warmed up next spring at no extra charge.

He agreed, so I set up the contract on a 90 day service.
All went well until about December 15th, when a hard freeze came and furbearer trapping season was in full swing anyway. So I pulled what mole traps I could get out and decided to stop back later when it warmed up and pull the rest.

That of course, was February and when I returned found no one home and no traps. I kept wondering if I remembered correctly that I had left some that were frozen in or was my mind playing tricks on me. crazy
Beaver season was still in, so off I went to pursue beaver.
In March, I returned to check the yard for moles and not finding any, went on my way to check other yards I had set up in the area. I did this for several months and never did find any more mole sign, having taken 9 back before freeze up.

I ran into either the husband or wife several times but forgot to mention that I thought I was missing some traps but just wasn't sure. Of course they never mentioned it, so I just forgot about it. Easy to do when you own 1400 of them.

Last week, I get a call from this same past customer, who says he has moles again and that he had set some traps on his own but hadn't any luck, so he would like to hire my services again.
We agree on a time and when I show up, guess what I find?
11 of my my mole traps set in mole runs...
The guy had pulled them, hid them and set them without ever telling me had them...worst of all, he didn't have the decentcy to pull them before I came over. blush
I was thinking I would give him a price break....he payed FULL PRICE! smirk

I had a client call me last night. Seems he needs a cat caught. It is a stray that showed up at his place. He caught it in a cage trap a while back and took it to the vet and had it casterated. Now he wants to catch it again and said it won't go into his cage trap.
Imagine that! I told him I wouldn't go into his trap either.
Am headed there tonight to give it the old collage try. Told him i wouldn't guarintee anything.
