Here's one that made me think twice...
I had a past(mole job)customer who called me late, last October and asked if I would come out, as he really was having a problem with moles again.
I explained to him that although the weather was still good, we may soon be into freezing weather but that I would be happy to set up the job on the condition that if we did get a freeze, I would stop his contract and resume it when the weather warmed up next spring at no extra charge.
He agreed, so I set up the contract on a 90 day service.
All went well until about December 15th, when a hard freeze came and furbearer trapping season was in full swing anyway. So I pulled what mole traps I could get out and decided to stop back later when it warmed up and pull the rest.
That of course, was February and when I returned found no one home and no traps. I kept wondering if I remembered correctly that I had left some that were frozen in or was my mind playing tricks on me.

Beaver season was still in, so off I went to pursue beaver.
In March, I returned to check the yard for moles and not finding any, went on my way to check other yards I had set up in the area. I did this for several months and never did find any more mole sign, having taken 9 back before freeze up.
I ran into either the husband or wife several times but forgot to mention that I thought I was missing some traps but just wasn't sure. Of course they never mentioned it, so I just forgot about it. Easy to do when you own 1400 of them.
Last week, I get a call from this same past customer, who says he has moles again and that he had set some traps on his own but hadn't any luck, so he would like to hire my services again.
We agree on a time and when I show up, guess what I find?
11 of my my mole traps set in mole runs...
The guy had pulled them, hid them and set them without ever telling me had them...worst of all, he didn't have the decentcy to pull them before I came over.

I was thinking I would give him a price break....he payed FULL PRICE!
