like newhouse said clean skin .i can do a 65 to 70 inch beaver in 30 to 35 minutes and thats while watching tv 1 smoke break and drinking a can of pepsi .so no im not speed skinning takin my time .plus when done not one drop of grease to clean up.

For those that “clean skin” I would like to see it. I take over a 100 beaver a season and would love to leave all that fat and gristle on the carcass.

Once I get going on beaver this year I plan on trying to make a real time DVD of the entire process, clean skinning, touchup fleshing, and stretching. One thing I do after stretching is shave the shoulders to thin the skin and speed drying.
"IF" the the DVD turns out to my satisfaction I'll get ahold of Paul and see if he would distribute it for a very minimal cost to those that want to learn.

Try putting on plywood and pulling tight tacking nails in 6 to 8 places then take beaver knife and cut the remainder off go slow and hold knife straight up and drag knife at a angle and pushing away not to much down presure be careful on the sides and belly you can cut holes real easy. Then try to clean skin on the next beaver. It all takes time to do it right. LOL.
