Peanut butter works great to keep my brother at camp to cook, split wood and do the chores. He calls himself the camp biatch. smile

About 10+ years ago i tried prebaiting some dirt holes with peanut butter. Didn't do many, but noticed it molded in the early october weather. Didn't see any action from the K9's either.

LOL!

Just tape that sucker down below the barrel and you won't even have to change hands when they get in range...

On the other hand, it seems to me that pre-baiting an area or building a large bait pile for the critters to find, is not illegal. Guess I'll read up on it.

White a couple weeks ago in the Newsminer there was a article about trapping and someone asked a trooper about pre-baiting. He seaid that it was illegal. Suprised the heck out of me.

That would surprise me if true. If I have a trapping license, season is open, and I build a bait pile, it's illegal unless I put a trap there ? I'd bet it's not. Possibly depends on what you put out there for bait.
I'll bet "intent" has a lot to do with it too.

What about all the garbage that goes into the dump ? Are those folks guilty of feeding foxes etc.

Where's Bearpaw ??

Preseason baiting is what he refered to.

Interesting, does that mean it is illegal to trap around a dump?

I can see it pre-season. Think I'll ask the trooper here what his interpretation is.

Peanut butter works. An old trapper showed me how to trap fox with it before he past. Smear it on a tree lean a stick against tree 3-4 inchs from base put trap at end of stick. fox will lick peanut butter step round stick in to trap. Send me a message if you need anything else brecking. Good luck, Shadow

Nice picture GG. Notice how far back that fox's feet are from the jar.

I can assure you it is not photoshopped. A simple whistle and some encouraging words brings that fox charging in. That calling technique is still to be proven by other fox and canines.
I'm surprised GG doesn't have that fox curled up in front of the stove and a doggy dish.
GG- do you have that dog trained to fetch your slippers yet?
