i dyed some duke 1.5's with oak leaves... they had a nice black color... but on a few of the traps the dye tries to rub off... is this because they haven't rusted good enough ???

Next time you dye your traps like that wax them as soon as they are dry and the dye will stay on the traps better. I used maple leaves and they did the same thing until I waxed them.

your just right down the road, i'm in carroll county right off i-40. i've always used logwood die and wax, spray paint, and speed dip, so i can't really comment on the oak leaves with any credit. if i were you i'd just touch them up with rustoloeum where the die didn't take, this won't cost near as much as painting them all completely. good luck this year.

Make sure they air out a while till the paint smell is gone, but if they will be used underwater, it won't matter as much
