Since Ive been teaching my wife smithing and blade work she has started selling some pieces that we have done. If you are interested in a specific item just PM me and we'll see what we can do. These are some past items and as we have more available Ill post them. A nice billet of 1095/15N20 damascus is laying on the work bench right now waiting to be finished. Here are some examples of railroad spike knives..$45 each



Cable damascus knives forge welded from high carbon steel cable. $60 each



A few random knives..
Forge welded cable damascus differentially tempered showing the temper line. African black limba handle withsteel spacer.$125

Forge welded cable damascus with stag handle. $90

We also offer more traditional items like this utensil set. $45 Other item also pictured are available like "S" hooks etc..

First off, your work is awesome!

How well do the RR spike blades hold an edge? Are they hard to sharpen?

And what are the chances of putting the blade in pic #1 with the handle in pic #3? I love that handle.

That wouldent be hard. They hold an edge ok. We quench ours in a solution called "Super Quench"..Its a speacially designed quenchant for milder steels. It hardens them super fast and allows you to get a harder steel than would normally be possible with a regular quech. You can do a search on "Rob Gunters Super Quench" and find out more info about it.

i purchased the knife pictured second from the top. recieved it today and i'm impress. the knife is beautiful and well balanced in hand. what i'm most impressed by is i could shave myself with it it's so sharp. it's going to be a great addition to my skinning knives for deer camp and i can't wait to try it out, thanks buddy, Bud

Thanks, very glad your happy. Wont let a knife leave unless it will shave hair off your arm.

Just an update, some of these items are sold but can be made again so to speak. Since each one is individually hand made they will not be exact but can be very close if you wish.
