I've never posted on there B4. Bought some stuff but never listed. The other night I listed several items.
Jeep cherokee
Ford Bronco II
Jet ski
couple compound bows
30X9.5 GSAs on Jeep rims
....... so far it was smooth sailing
Then I listed firewood under 'farm and garden'
after about 10 minutes it got "flagged for removal"
I read up on that a bit - couldn't find enough info to really clear it up in my head
Hour later I re-listed it with slightly different wording but it was indeed very much like everyone else's firewood listings.
10-15 more minutes and it got the axe again
Next day listed it under general for sale and after a half hour or so some Nazi killed it again.
Is someone doing this for sport?
Is it being quashed by mental midgets that are also selling firewood?
What do U think/

Dont craigs list have a contact email or something? You could try that and see what they say....OR you could post this question in the "discussion" section and you'll probably find out? When/if you find out, post it here....shane

When viewing listings there is a box up in the right hand corner where the viewer can apparently call "foul" because they believe the listing to be in the wrong category or the listing is breaking some craigs listing rule or another. I'm a real novice at Craig's List. I believe it's some "Dillrod" who is eliminating me as competition. Possibly multiple "Dillrods".(couldn't help myself)

Every time i post blue heelers for sale, it gets removed. I usually have em sold by then but if not, i just re-post it. I tried listing them free but with a 200 dollar "adoption fee" but they chop it to. I was just looking for an answer for ya and i came across "the best of craigslist"! Dont know how i got to it but it is hilarious!!!....shane

shanemoss, I saw that apparent avenue to seek assistance through that moderation option. Made me wonder(there I go again)how the site could be set up in the first place where everyone could fall prey to everyone else. I just haven't taken the time to explore that route yet. Hopin one of you guys new. Shortcut. Lazy.

Maybe because of Emerald Ash Borer concerns? Just a guess.

There's tons of firewood listings. I saw several concerned references to the emerald ash borer. That's a possibility I hadn't considered. What I mean is I listed what split woods I had mixed together. I said Mull Berry,Locust,High Beech(aka blue beech or American beech)Sugar Maple/Silver Maple,Oak and Ash. That may not have been too brainy mentioning Ash and I didn't think of that till you jarred it out of me. That may be it.

Well, that was short lived. Removed the word ash - reworded things a little and the listing lasted a whopping 7 minutes.

That's really weird that firewood would get flagged.

I once saw a Craigslist post in Portland:

"Wanted: Cheetah Fur...sample needed, must be real"

I have been having the same problem with firewood. I don't get it, very frustrating. If you find out why let me know. I am new to Craigslist too.

For sure it is some dufuss with the same item you have for sale, they are ridding the board of competition, if you put one on their firewood for the flagers it might stop as they might get the hint, now remember i said might, it worked for me like that, sometimes it does and sometimes it don't, i would also run an add in the local paper, you will sell more with less hassle, good luck

yep the reason you are getting flagged is because the other guys selling firewood are reporting you so your post gets deleted and they get more business It happens here that way all the time

The "Craig legal" reason may be you are posting too often. There is a specific time frame before you can repost. You must delete your "old listing" before putting another same one up.
Essentially...this is to prevent taking your add to the top constantly.

Might also be you are posting it in several categories. You only get to post in one category.

Then...there are the other PITA people as mentioned. Just keep a copy of your listing on a word document and repost as needed. Contact Craigslist and report the issue.
