Natural walk through...

Close up. A call lure is smeared on the rock face (inside), trap where the smoothed out, step down is...

A view from the other side and a better picture of the "step down trail set."
Note the droppings, which with or without urine are optional!
wink

This and other bobcat trapping information can be found on the 'Cat sets and locations thread on the Trapping Only forum.
I invite other 'cat trappers to add to this thread in hopes it will have enough bobcat trapping info to make it into the archives. In the meanwhile, I hope it will pass on some valuable trapping tips that trappers can use this season.

That is sure enough a great kitty set...

The flat rock on the side would protect the trap from rain and wind...

It also acts as a fence to force the kitty to walk over the set...

And it could be rigged with two traps if you wanted to...

The only thing that could be used to sweeten it some would be some flagging, just for fun...

But, I don't know how to catch a kitty... can't catch a cold, unless someone sneezes in my face...

Sounds like the guy that sits down at the poker table and announces, "Now I'm kinda new at this, but I'm starting to catch on a little. If you fellers don't mind me sittin in and learnin a little from you. By the way, my name is Doc."

I'd rather do that than sit in on that poker game with that feller named Doc. I'll bet either way you would get educated.

Ha! Some of the best spotted (lepard spotted) bobcats come out of Texas.
